Callie - EEG

Callie had an EEG this morning - still testing from the seizure she had a couple of weeks ago.

We got a call from the hospital yesterday that said we needed to keep her up until midnight and then get her up at 4:00. HA! They don't know Callie...she ASKS to go to bed if she's up past 7:30.

She actually did quite well. We stayed up until 11:00. Phil got her up at 5:00 (close enough, huh?). She couldn't eat or drink anything after 7:00, so Phil gave her something to drink, but she didn't take much.

By the time we got to daycare, she was sleepy, but did okay.

I picked her up at 9:00 and headed to the hospital. She got back there a few minutes after 10:00.

She did perfectly! She never fussed, cried, moved, etc. during the whole thing. She fell asleep on my lap for the sleep part of the test. It took her about 10 minutes to fall asleep and another 10 minutes or so to do the test. She was the perfect patient!!

Afterwards, we went to the cafeteria and got her some mac n cheese (her request).

Since she did so well, she got to pick a toy out of the treasure chest. She picked out a penguin beanie baby (they had good toys in there). :)

They said it will be 3-5 business days before we get the results. Hopefully, we'll have them by the end of the week.

I took her back to daycare just in time for a nap.

Emma was on her cot. When she saw me, she popped her head up, smiled and waved at me. Then she went back down.

Update on Callie

We took Callie to the pediatrician this morning to get more tests scheduled because of her seizure. The dr was a little concerned that the seizure seemed to be localized rather than just a general seizure. It seems that it was just her face that was twitching, not her whole body.

Anyway, we have an EEG scheduled for next Wednesday. We are also waiting on a call from the hospital to schedule an MRI. Hopefully, everything will turn out okay. It's better to be safe than sorry!

Callie has been perfectly normal since Thursday - no signs of anything to come.
